Base Salary
$144k - $194k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, test, and operate scalable backend services and libraries for AI- and LLM-driven features.
- Integrate and harden model providers, tools, and agent capabilities behind clean, versioned interfaces.
- Build agent execution, evaluation, regression, and quality tooling to measure and gate AI behavior.
- Develop proactive, multimodal, context-aware experiences across Alexa, Fire TV, mobile, wearable, and web surfaces.
- Apply reliability, observability, cost, latency, security-conscious, and fail-closed design principles.
- Use AI coding assistants and agentic workflows while critically reviewing generated code and maintaining engineering quality.
- Collaborate with internal teams and product partners, write technical designs, and mentor other engineers.
Requirements
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- 2+ years of non-internship experience designing or architecting new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience.
- 1+ years of experience developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded, or distributed software applications, tools, systems, or services using C#, C++, Java, or Perl.
- 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience.
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Experience programming in at least one software programming language.
- Preferred: 3+ years of full software development lifecycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.

- Base salary range of $143,700.00–$194,400.00 annually, plus potential sign-on payments and restricted stock units.
