Base Salary
$80k - $128k/yr
Responsibilities
- Support software development across design, development, integration, testing, deployment, sustainment, and modernization.
- Develop, maintain, troubleshoot, and enhance mission applications, backend services, APIs, automation capabilities, and operational tools.
- Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, code reviews, technical demonstrations, and secure software delivery activities.
- Integrate software capabilities across distributed systems, mission applications, databases, and enterprise environments.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, software designs, interface definitions, and deployment procedures.
- Perform troubleshooting, root cause analysis, defect resolution, software testing, verification and validation, and operational readiness support.
- Collaborate with systems engineering, cybersecurity, integration, and operations teams in classified operational environments.
- Support modernization and continuous improvement focused on scalability, maintainability, security, and system performance.
- Ensure compliance with security, configuration management, and software quality standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of relevant experience, or a master’s degree with 0+ years of experience; four additional years of experience may substitute for the degree.
- Active Secret clearance with eligibility to obtain a Top Secret clearance after joining the program.
- Foundational software development experience in DoD, aerospace, cyber, enterprise IT, or mission-focused environments.
- Experience with one or more programming languages such as Java, Python, or C++.
- Familiarity with software integration, testing, troubleshooting, debugging, version control, and secure software delivery tools.
- Experience working in Linux and/or Windows development environments.
- Ability to collaborate across engineering, cybersecurity, integration, and operational support teams.
- Desired qualifications include Top Secret clearance, relevant space or missile-warning mission experience, satellite ground-system or command-and-control experience, containerization, cloud or hybrid infrastructure, Jira, Confluence, Maven, Gradle, cybersecurity practices, and related technical certifications.
