Base Salary
$171k - $260k/yr
Responsibilities
- Serve as a subject matter expert on machine learning algorithms, frameworks, optimization techniques, and workflows.
- Conduct ML experiments, analyze results, tune models, and bring successful approaches into production.
- Develop end-to-end Python code for proofs of concept, experimentation, and production-ready solutions.
- Optimize model accuracy and system performance by identifying and resolving inefficiencies and bottlenecks.
- Integrate generative AI into the machine learning platform using advanced techniques.
- Collaborate with product, engineering, data, and ML teams to deliver scalable, measurable business solutions.
- Influence product design, application functionality, and technical operations while mentoring practitioners and raising engineering standards.
Requirements
- An MS or PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of applied machine learning experience.
- At least 5 years of experience programming in Python, Java, C, C++, or another comparable language, with intermediate Python required.
- At least 5 years of applying data science and machine learning techniques to business problems.
- Strong experience with NLP, LLMs, machine learning, deep learning, and frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.
- Experience with GPU optimization, fine-tuning, embedding models, inference, prompt engineering, evaluation, and RAG or similarity search.
- Ability to complete projects with limited supervision and communicate effectively with engineers, product managers, and ML practitioners.
- Preferred experience with Ray, MLflow, distributed training, search and ranking, recommender systems, graph techniques, reinforcement learning, meta learning, and LLM agents, planning, and reasoning.
- Preferred experience deploying ML models on AWS, including SageMaker and EKS.
