Responsibilities
- Build reusable systems and configurable capabilities that accelerate credit card launches in new countries.
- Translate regulatory requirements and market capabilities into destination architecture and product behavior.
- Drive AI transformation by identifying engineering friction, establishing productivity baselines, running experiments, and scaling effective practices.
- Develop context engineering foundations, domain skills, repository context, and AI agents for credit card configuration and international launches.
- Establish AI risk and governance practices, including human-in-the-loop controls, evaluation, monitoring, and auditability.
- Lead technical architecture across three to four squads and unblock complex work across credit card platforms.
- Align Product, Engineering, Business, Legal, Compliance, and platform teams on technical direction and launch priorities.
- Prototype, code, and contribute directly while adapting to changing business priorities.
Requirements
- Software engineering experience with demonstrated Staff-level scope across multiple teams and domains.
- Track record of designing and shipping reusable platform or systemic solutions adopted by other teams.
- Current hands-on experience with agentic AI, including coding agents, tools, skills, context engineering, or RAG in production or near-production environments.
- Strong backend and distributed-systems expertise sufficient to guide architecture across multiple products and platforms.
- Ability to structure ambiguous problems and make progress when future market requirements are uncertain.
- Ability to define baselines, design experiments, measure outcomes, and discontinue initiatives that do not create value.
- Strong technical leadership and influence across Engineering, Product, Business, Legal, and Compliance stakeholders.
- Clear written and spoken English communication, including technical documents, plans, and playbooks.
- Willingness to remain hands-on and adapt quickly to changing priorities.
- Preferred experience with internationalized or multi-country platforms, regulatory-driven variation, multi-currency systems, or installments.
- Preferred experience in banking, credit cards, financial services, or another regulated domain.
- Preferred experience with configuration-driven product architecture, Clojure, functional programming, or large-scale microservice architectures.
- Preferred experience mentoring senior engineers and running technical enablement across an organization.
