Responsibilities
- Lead the development and architecture of agentic AI solutions, including orchestration, tool integration, and reusable enterprise patterns.
- Use AI coding assistants and agents throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Define model evaluation frameworks covering quality, accuracy, safety, and performance, and guide continuous improvement.
- Improve AI output through prompt optimization and model tuning.
- Gather requirements from customers and business stakeholders and review technical designs.
- Own application scope, technical specifications, architecture, code reviews, testing, implementation, change requests, and final enhancements.
- Plan application technology solutions, data information efforts, scaling, reliability, monitoring, and on-call support.
- Lead technical direction, enterprise solution reviews, stakeholder alignment, and technology strategy for major business areas.
- Mentor teams and drive adoption of AI-enabled engineering practices.
Requirements
- BA/BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, plus a minimum of 9 years of experience; equivalent combinations of education and experience may qualify.
- Experience with multidimensional platforms and business and technical applications.
- Preferred experience mentoring others, leading large or multiple projects, troubleshooting, and providing project leadership.
- Preferred experience with multiple databases and/or programming languages and with US healthcare, payer, claims, clinical, HIPAA, PHI, regulated-industry, or enterprise-security environments.
- Preferred knowledge of Agile/SAFe delivery and portfolio management tools and experience integrating AI into JIRA or similar platforms.
- Preferred software engineering fundamentals including cloud-native development, APIs, microservices, automated testing, and secure SDLC.
- Preferred experience building or integrating AI agents, tool/function calling, RAG, memory, model routing, evaluations, guardrails, observability, secure API/tool access, and LLM or SLM applications.
- Ability to review, test, and harden AI-generated code and explain AI concepts to nontechnical audiences.
