Responsibilities
- Design and maintain cloud-native platforms for AI and data workloads using technologies such as Databricks and AWS Bedrock.
- Build and manage scalable data pipelines for ingesting, transforming, and serving data for ML and analytics.
- Develop repeatable infrastructure-as-code deployments using CloudFormation and AWS CDK.
- Collaborate with AI, data, and platform engineers to improve production model performance, reliability, and cost efficiency.
- Establish observability practices including monitoring, alerting, and logging for AI platforms.
- Evolve the AI platform to support new ML frameworks, workflows, and data types.
- Integrate AI models and LLMs into production systems using architectures such as retrieval-augmented generation.
Requirements
- 7+ years of professional experience in software engineering and infrastructure engineering.
- Extensive experience building and maintaining production AI/ML infrastructure, including model deployment and lifecycle management.
- Strong AWS and infrastructure-as-code experience, ideally with AWS CDK.
- Expert-level TypeScript and Python skills for building APIs and backend services.
- Production experience with Databricks MLflow, including model registration, versioning, asset bundles, and model serving workflows.
- Expert knowledge of Docker and hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines; ECS orchestration experience is a plus.
- Ability to design reliable, secure, and scalable infrastructure for real-time and batch ML workloads.
- Familiarity with DSPy, LLM cost monitoring, latency optimization, usage analytics, and vector databases such as OpenSearch is desirable.
- Strong communication, presentation, collaboration, and cross-functional partnering skills.
