Responsibilities
- Define and drive the architectural vision for developer, user, and agent experiences across Auth0 products, SDKs, and APIs.
- Identify inconsistencies across product surfaces and establish unified architectural patterns and standards.
- Architect and contribute to SDK and API design, agent tooling, documentation systems, and related code.
- Build agent skills, guardrails, MCP servers, SKILL.md resources, llms.txt files, and structured documentation.
- Embed with Engineering teams to provide architectural guidance for major initiatives and direction for smaller efforts.
- Partner with Design and other stakeholders to align engineering implementation with product UX direction.
- Review, prototype, and contribute code across SDKs, tooling, and documentation systems.
- Participate in the Engineering Leadership Team and mentor engineers across the organization.
Requirements
- 15–20 years of professional experience.
- Deep experience designing developer-facing products such as SDKs, APIs, CLIs, documentation systems, or developer portals.
- Strong understanding of developer experience and the ability to identify and resolve experience gaps.
- Familiarity with agent-readable documentation, MCP servers, agent skills, and how AI agents consume APIs and tooling.
- Knowledge of OAuth, OIDC, and SAML identity protocols and their use in developer-facing products.
- Experience driving consistency across multiple product surfaces and teams.
- Hands-on coding ability with experience building and prototyping rather than providing only advisory guidance.
- Very strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to influence engineering, product, and design stakeholders.
- Ability to drive technical decisions to completion while balancing quality, speed, and pragmatism.
- Ability to create clarity and alignment across teams without direct authority.
- Preferred: experience maintaining open-source SDKs or libraries.
- Preferred: familiarity with structured content and documentation systems for LLM consumption, including llms.txt, OpenAPI, and structured changelogs.
- Preferred: frontend or full-stack development experience in developer tooling or product surfaces such as Universal Login.
