Responsibilities
- Define and drive the architectural vision for DX, UX, and AX across Auth0's public products, SDKs, and APIs.
- Identify and address inconsistencies across Auth0's product surfaces.
- Architect and contribute to the SDK and API design layer.
- Design and build agent skills, guardrails, and contextual tooling.
- Embed within Engineering teams for large initiatives.
- Partner closely with the Design team to ensure alignment.
- Contribute to Auth0's Developer Experience Principles through hands-on implementation.
- Lead by doing: reviewing, prototyping, and contributing code.
- Participate in the Engineering Leadership Team.
- Mentor and uplevel engineers on experience-focused architecture.
Requirements
- 15 to 20 years of experience in software engineering.
- Deep experience designing developer-facing products like SDKs and APIs.
- Strong understanding of what great Developer Experience (DX) looks like.
- Familiarity with agent-readable documentation formats and AI agent interactions.
- Knowledge of Identity protocols such as OAuth, OIDC, and SAML.
- Experience driving consistency across multiple product surfaces.
- Hands-on coding ability; expected to build and prototype.
- Very strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to drive technical decisions while balancing quality and velocity.
- Excellence in creating clarity and alignment across teams.
