Responsibilities
- Define and own Salesforce Commerce Cloud architecture covering cartridges, SFRA controllers and pipelines, OCAPI/SCAPI, and composable storefront services.
- Translate commerce roadmap initiatives into technical solution designs and impact analyses.
- Lead and review SFRA and PWA/composable development while enforcing coding, performance, and security standards.
- Design integrations between SFCC and payment service providers, tax/fraud services, PIM/DAM, OMS/ERP, and search providers through middleware.
- Own environment strategy, sandbox and staging management, release pipelines, performance tooling, monitoring, and release quality gates.
- Produce technical estimates, specifications, architecture documentation, and performance, security, and multi-locale analyses.
- Mentor developers and contribute to division-level design authority and technical communities.
- Provide technical leadership during product launches, promotional campaigns, and seasonal peak trading events.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in hands-on architecture and development.
- Expert-level JavaScript and Node.js skills, including ISML templating, cartridge architecture, and OCAPI/SCAPI.
- Strong Salesforce B2C Commerce Cloud experience with SFRA and composable/headless storefronts such as PWA Kit or equivalent.
- Experience designing integrations with payment, tax/fraud, PIM/DAM, OMS/ERP, and other commerce systems through middleware.
- Strong understanding of eCommerce performance, SEO, and security in high-traffic, revenue-critical environments.
- Experience leading technical teams and managing eCommerce release and deployment processes.
- Ability to produce clear technical specifications, estimates, impact analyses, and architecture documentation.
- Excellent English communication skills; French or Italian is advantageous.
- Salesforce B2C Commerce Cloud Architect or Developer certification is desirable.
- Experience with React-based composable/headless commerce, multi-country or cross-border platforms, and luxury, retail, or omnichannel commerce is desirable.
