Base Salary
$141k - $225k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own system architecture for multithreaded, real-time C++ and Python applications across robotics control, automation, AI/ML, and optimization pipelines.
- Architect end-to-end operator-facing GUIs, diagnostics, monitoring, simulation/modeling, calibration, fault detection, and production systems.
- Design integrations with ROS/ROS2, MoveIt, electromechanical hardware, sensors, and manufacturing systems.
- Define architecture for planning and optimization systems, generative AI, autonomous agents, multimodal models, and multi-agent orchestration.
- Establish containerization, automated testing, build systems, debugging, code quality, and production-grade delivery practices.
- Lead technical design and review, mentor engineers, collaborate cross-functionally, and support commissioning, troubleshooting, and hardware integration.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Robotics, AI/ML, or a related field.
- 5+ years of professional experience, including software architecture and design experience.
- Expert proficiency in modern C++ and Python, including multithreaded, real-time, and performance-sensitive software design.
- Experience designing scalable, reliable, integrated software systems and operator-facing GUI applications.
- Experience with infrastructure and deployment architecture, automated testing, containerization, build systems, debugging, and production delivery.
- Strong Git, documentation, technical leadership, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Ability to lawfully access information and technology subject to U.S. export controls.
- Preferred qualifications include ROS/ROS2, MoveIt, robotics control, kinematics and dynamics, trajectory generation, industrial automation, optimization and planning systems, generative AI and agentic systems, production multi-agent systems, inference optimization, MLOps, and model monitoring.
- Experience with LangGraph, LangChain, LlamaIndex, vLLM, PyTorch, Hugging Face, C#, or TypeScript is preferred.
- Advanced manufacturing, aerospace, automotive, or robotics experience, a Master’s or Ph.D., publication or open-source contributions, and leadership of medium-to-large architectural initiatives are preferred.
