Base Salary
$141k - $225k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain software development practices supporting high-quality code, testing, and releases.
- Develop, implement, and optimize algorithms for robotic task and motion planning, including search, optimization, constraint satisfaction, kinematics, and collision detection.
- Assist with integrating and testing computer vision software for robustness and real-world performance.
- Collaborate with engineering and cross-functional teams to integrate software products and deliver robotic solutions.
- Document code, algorithms, user manuals, and procedures, and stay current with advances in robot planning technologies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Robotics, or a related field with 5+ years of professional experience.
- Proficiency in C++ and Python, with strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and design patterns.
- Understanding of industrial robotics, including manipulator kinematics and dynamics, trajectory generation, and communications protocols.
- Expertise with search algorithms, optimization methods, and constraint satisfaction.
- Experience with robotic planning and manipulation software such as MoveIt and ROS.
- Knowledge of unit testing, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Ability to lawfully access information and technology subject to US export controls.
- Preferred qualifications include a master’s or Ph.D. with 3+ years of professional experience, OpenCV or PCL experience, C# or TypeScript experience, generative AI exploration in robotics, and robotics publications or open-source contributions.
