Base Salary
$141k - $225k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize software algorithms for robotic task and motion planning.
- Implement algorithms involving symbolic task planning, robot kinematics, collision detection, optimization, and constraint satisfaction.
- Integrate and test computer vision software for robustness and performance in real-world scenarios.
- Collaborate with engineers and cross-functional teams to integrate software products and deliver robotics solutions.
- Maintain software development practices supporting code quality, testing, and timely releases.
- Document code, algorithms, user manuals, and procedures.
- Track advancements in robot planning technologies and contribute new ideas.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Robotics, or a related field and 5+ years of professional experience.
- Proficiency in C++ and Python.
- Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and design patterns.
- Understanding of industrial robotics, including manipulator kinematics and dynamics, trajectory generation, and communications protocols.
- Expertise with search algorithms, optimization methods, and constraint satisfaction.
- Experience with MoveIt and ROS or similar open-source robotic planning and manipulation software.
- Knowledge of unit testing, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Ability to lawfully access information and technology subject to U.S. export controls.
- Preferred: Master’s or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Robotics, or a related field with 3+ years of professional experience.
- Preferred: familiarity with OpenCV and PCL, C# and TypeScript, generative AI in robotics, and robotics publications or open-source contributions.
