Base Salary
$141k - $225k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain software development practices supporting code quality, testing, and timely releases.
- Design, implement, and optimize algorithms for robot task and motion planning.
- Collaborate with senior engineers and cross-functional teams to integrate software products and develop robotic software solutions.
- Integrate and test computer vision software for robustness and real-world performance.
- Document code, algorithms, user manuals, and procedures.
- Stay current on robot planning algorithms and technologies and contribute ideas to the robotics team.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Robotics, or a related field and 5+ years of professional experience.
- Proficiency in C++ and Python, with additional experience in C# or TypeScript preferred.
- Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, design patterns, search algorithms, optimization methods, and constraint satisfaction.
- Understanding of industrial robotics, including manipulator kinematics and dynamics, trajectory generation, and communications protocols.
- Experience with MoveIt and ROS or similar open-source robotic planning and manipulation software.
- Knowledge of unit testing, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Understanding of OpenCV and PCL preferred.
- Master’s or Ph.D. degree with 3+ years of professional experience preferred.
- Strong publication record or open-source contributions in robotics preferred.
- Ability to lawfully access information and technology subject to U.S. export controls.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and cross-functional teamwork skills.
