Base Salary
$141k - $225k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain software development practices supporting high-quality code, efficient testing, and timely releases.
- Design, implement, and optimize algorithms for robotic task and motion planning.
- Contribute to symbolic task planning, robot kinematics, trajectory generation, collision detection, optimization, and constraint satisfaction.
- Assist with integrating and testing computer vision software for robustness and real-world performance.
- Collaborate with senior engineers and cross-functional teams to develop and integrate software solutions.
- Document code, algorithms, user manuals, and procedures.
- Stay current with advances in robot planning algorithms and technologies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Robotics, or a related field with 5+ years of professional experience.
- Ability to lawfully access information and technology subject to U.S. export controls.
- Proficiency in C++ and Python.
- Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and design patterns.
- Understanding of industrial robotics, including manipulator kinematics and dynamics, trajectory generation, and communications protocols.
- Expertise with search algorithms, optimization methods, and constraint satisfaction.
- Experience with MoveIt and ROS or comparable open-source robotic planning and manipulation packages.
- Knowledge of unit testing, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and cross-functional teamwork skills.
- Preferred qualifications include a master’s or Ph.D. with 3+ years of professional experience, experience with OpenCV and PCL, C# or TypeScript programming, generative AI exploration in robotics, and robotics publications or open-source contributions.
