Base Salary

$141k - $225k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain software development practices supporting high-quality code, efficient testing, and timely releases.
  • Design, implement, and optimize algorithms for robotic task and motion planning.
  • Contribute to symbolic task planning, robot kinematics, trajectory generation, collision detection, optimization, search, and constraint satisfaction.
  • Integrate and test computer-vision software for robustness and real-world performance.
  • Collaborate with senior engineers and cross-functional teams to integrate software products and deliver robotics solutions.
  • Document code, algorithms, user manuals, and procedures.
  • Stay current with advances in robot planning algorithms and technologies and contribute new ideas.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Robotics, or a related field and 5+ years of professional experience.
  • Ability to lawfully access information and technology subject to U.S. export controls.
  • Proficiency in C++ and Python, with experience in data structures, algorithms, and design patterns.
  • Understanding of industrial robotics, including manipulator kinematics and dynamics, trajectory generation, and communications protocols.
  • Expertise with search algorithms, optimization methods, and constraint satisfaction.
  • Experience with open-source robotic planning and manipulation packages such as MoveIt and ROS.
  • Knowledge of unit testing, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and Kubernetes.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and cross-functional teamwork skills.
  • Preferred qualifications include a master’s or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Robotics, or a related field; knowledge of OpenCV and PCL; experience with C# or TypeScript; exploration of generative AI in robotics; and a strong robotics publication record or open-source contributions.
