Base Salary
$141k - $225k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain software development practices supporting high-quality code, efficient testing, and timely releases.
- Design, implement, and optimize algorithms for robot task and motion planning, including symbolic planning, kinematics, collision detection, optimization, and constraint satisfaction.
- Integrate and test computer vision software for robustness and performance in real-world robotic systems.
- Collaborate with senior engineers and cross-functional teams to develop and integrate robotic software solutions.
- Document code, algorithms, user manuals, and procedures.
- Stay current with robot planning algorithms and technologies and contribute new ideas.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Robotics, or a related field with 5+ years of professional experience.
- Ability to lawfully access information and technology subject to U.S. export controls.
- Proficiency in C++ and Python, with strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and design patterns.
- Understanding of industrial robotics, including manipulator kinematics and dynamics, trajectory generation, and communications protocols.
- Expertise with search algorithms, optimization methods, and constraint satisfaction.
- Experience with open-source robotic planning and manipulation software such as MoveIt and ROS.
- Knowledge of unit testing, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Preferred qualifications include a master’s or Ph.D. with 3+ years of professional experience, knowledge of OpenCV and PCL, experience with C# or TypeScript, generative AI exploration in robotics, and robotics publications or open-source contributions.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and cross-functional teamwork skills.
