Base Salary
$141k - $225k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain software development practices that support high-quality code, efficient testing, and timely releases.
- Design, implement, and optimize algorithms for robot task and motion planning.
- Work with senior engineers and cross-functional teams to develop and integrate robotics software solutions.
- Integrate and test computer vision software for robustness and real-world performance.
- Document code, algorithms, user manuals, and procedures.
- Stay current with robot planning algorithms and technologies and contribute new ideas.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Robotics, or a related field with 5+ years of professional experience.
- Proficiency in C++ and Python, with additional experience in C# or TypeScript preferred.
- Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and design patterns.
- Understanding of industrial robotics, including manipulator kinematics and dynamics, trajectory generation, and communications protocols.
- Expertise with search algorithms, optimization methods, and constraint satisfaction.
- Experience with MoveIt and ROS or comparable open-source robotic planning and manipulation packages.
- Knowledge of unit testing, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Understanding of OpenCV and PCL preferred.
- Master’s or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Robotics, or a related field with 3+ years of professional experience preferred.
- Robotics publications or open-source contributions and experience exploring generative AI in robotics are preferred.
- Ability to lawfully access information and technology subject to U.S. export controls.
