Base Salary
$141k - $225k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain software controlling robotic systems, automated manufacturing equipment, and production workflows.
- Build scalable software for industrial robotics, motion control, sensors, machine vision, and factory automation infrastructure.
- Develop machine-control software for additive manufacturing systems, robotic cells, and production equipment.
- Architect software for real-time decision-making and coordinated robotic operations.
- Integrate hardware, sensors, actuators, and automation systems into production-ready software.
- Investigate and resolve complex software, integration, and system-level issues in manufacturing environments.
- Support deployment and commissioning of new manufacturing technologies and automation systems.
- Develop tools, frameworks, and infrastructure that improve engineering efficiency and system performance.
- Collaborate with Robotics, Manufacturing, Controls, Mechanical, Electrical, and Product Engineering teams.
- Support root-cause analysis and resolution of complex operational and production issues.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 8+ years of professional software engineering experience with significant robotics, automation, industrial systems, or machine-control experience.
- Strong proficiency in C++, C#, Python, or similar programming languages.
- Experience developing software that directly interfaces with hardware, robotics systems, industrial equipment, or automated machinery.
- Experience designing and implementing complex software systems deployed in production environments.
- Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and systems-thinking skills.
- Preferred: advanced degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Controls Engineering, or a related field.
- Preferred: experience with ABB, FANUC, KUKA, or Yaskawa industrial robotics platforms.
- Preferred: experience with motion control, machine vision, path planning, automation systems, robotic work cells, real-time software, distributed control architectures, PLCs, industrial communication protocols, or manufacturing execution systems.
- Preferred: experience in advanced manufacturing, additive manufacturing, aerospace, automotive, defense, or industrial automation environments.
