Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and improve high-quality, scalable, maintainable, and performance-optimized software solutions.
- Develop and support IBM Sterling File Gateway solutions, including Sterling Integrator, Sterling Secure Proxy, Perimeter Servers, and Sterling Control Centre.
- Create business processes and maps and implement file-transfer integrations using FTP, SFTP, and Connect:Direct.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, engineers, and other stakeholders to define requirements and ensure solution integration.
- Participate in code reviews, knowledge sharing, unit testing, secure coding, and continuous improvement.
- Identify automation and integration opportunities and contribute to DevOps implementation.
- Manage risk, controls, policies, governance, and delivery standards relevant to the role.
- Guide team members or act as a technical advisor, depending on assigned leadership responsibilities.
Requirements
- In-depth technical knowledge and experience in the assigned area of expertise.
- Experience with IBM Sterling File Gateway, including Sterling Integrator, Sterling Secure Proxy, Perimeter Servers, and Sterling Control Centre.
- Oracle and SQL database experience.
- Experience developing business processes and maps.
- Knowledge of FTP, SFTP, and Connect:Direct file-transfer protocols.
- Basic certificate-management knowledge, including TLS, SSL, and OCSP.
- Understanding of software development, unit testing, secure coding, code quality, and scalable solution design.
- Experience with Unix operating systems, preferably Linux, is valued.
- DevOps implementation experience and the ability to identify automation and integration opportunities are valued.
- Hands-on experience with Git, Jenkins, TeamCity, JIRA, and Confluence is advantageous.
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally, communicate complex information, and apply technical judgment to resolve problems.
