Base Salary
$160k - $240k/yr
Responsibilities
- Architect and develop firmware and microcontroller subsystems for SoC and systems products.
- Develop C/C++ firmware, C-based SDKs, boot ROMs, and software for on-chip microcontrollers, embedded microprocessors, and system host CPUs.
- Collaborate with logic designers to implement and test hardware-software interfaces on complex SoCs.
- Develop secure boot flows and work with authentication, attestation, DICE, and Caliptra standards.
- Design, implement, and write unit-level tests.
- Support pre-silicon development using simulation and emulation environments.
- Collaborate with customers to understand and address their product needs.
- Work with software build environments, developer workflows, source-code management, code reviews, and CI.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science.
- At least 5 years of experience supporting or developing complex SoC or silicon products for server, storage, and/or networking applications.
- High proficiency in C or C++, including C-based SDK and firmware development.
- Experience developing boot ROMs and working in pre-silicon simulation and emulation environments.
- Proficiency in Python for scripting.
- Experience with SoC interfaces, on-chip memory interfaces, and hardware blocks common to chip design.
- Ability to work with minimal guidance, prioritize multiple tasks, and operate effectively in a dynamic environment.
- Preferred experience includes firmware development using an RTOS.
- Experience with secure boot flows, authentication, attestation, DICE, and Caliptra is an asset.
- Ability to start immediately.
Benefits
- Base salary range is $160,000 to $240,000 depending on experience, level, and business need.
