Responsibilities
- Deliver technically complex software solutions and provide system integration support.
- Partner with business product owners and operations teams to understand goals, refine requirements, design solutions, and develop acceptance-criteria-compliant code.
- Develop customized code, configure solutions, perform analysis, and support data conversions between processors.
- Lead and participate in development, unit testing, integration testing, functional testing, implementation, maintenance, and release support.
- Build automated monitoring capabilities, maintain security controls, and provide escalated production and warranty support.
- Lead moderately complex projects, participate in larger initiatives, solve technical and operational problems, and contribute to feasibility studies.
- Mentor less experienced teammates, provide knowledge transfer to production support, and potentially oversee a small team.
- Standardize data definitions, rules, access policies, and encryption techniques across workstreams.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or a related technical field.
- At least 4 years of experience in software engineering or IT consulting positions.
- Experience handling or leading data conversions between processors and applying IT best practices to complex information systems.
- Experience planning and managing projects, solving complex problems, mentoring teammates, and working with business and operations stakeholders.
- Solid knowledge of relational database design and development, including SQL, stored procedures, and data modeling.
- Experience standardizing data definitions, rules, access policies, encryption techniques, and data quality practices across workstreams.
- Experience preparing feasibility study reports and identifying project challenges and potential solutions.
- Experience with IBM tools and utilities, DB2, SQL, File Manager, SoapUI, Postman, Unix, Linux, Windows, and cloud technologies such as IBM Cloud CP4BA.
