Base Salary
$190k - $220k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and build data systems supporting analytics, AI, and business intelligence.
- Replace one-off custom scripts with reproducible, production-grade data pipelines.
- Own and evolve Snowflake, dbt, Dagster, ingestion, and reverse ETL layers.
- Improve data reliability, consistency, compliance, cost, and performance.
- Build self-service tooling for analysts and business partners.
- Drive technical decisions and best practices across ingestion, transformation, orchestration, and storage.
- Provide code reviews, technical guidance, and mentorship to peers.
- Collaborate with data analysts, product engineers, business teams, and engineering and product leadership.
Requirements
- 5+ years of data engineering or analytics engineering experience.
- Strong fluency in SQL and Python.
- Hands-on production experience with Snowflake.
- Deep ETL/ELT fundamentals, including dbt and a modern orchestrator such as Dagster or Airflow.
- Experience building high-quality, reliable, and performant systems in fast-paced environments.
- Strong technical communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to build systems from zero and create structure in ambiguous environments.
- Experience with semantic layers, AI/ML data infrastructure, LLM retrieval, RAG, feature stores, or dataset compliance is a plus.
- Experience with reverse ETL or personalization platforms is a plus.
- Databricks experience is a plus.
- Experience with data governance, access control, cost optimization, and large-scale data platforms is a plus.
- Experience mentoring engineers and fostering technical excellence is a plus.
- Interest in Owner’s product and helping local businesses succeed is a plus.
