Base Salary
$121k - $171k/yr
Responsibilities
- Architect, build, and deploy production Generative AI applications, LLM-powered solutions, and agentic frameworks.
- Design intelligent agents that reason about and orchestrate complex enterprise workflows.
- Deploy and manage containerized applications in OpenShift environments.
- Drive Generative AI technical strategy, architectural decisions, technology choices, and roadmap development.
- Establish engineering standards for coding, testing, debugging, documentation, code reviews, and continuous integration and delivery.
- Explore new Generative AI models, techniques, and frameworks and contribute to applied engineering and research initiatives.
- Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with product managers, stakeholders, and management teams.
- Deliver iterative solutions that create measurable business value and progress from prototypes to production.
- Implement AI guardrails and ethical safeguards while assessing and mitigating organizational and regulatory risks.
- Evaluate complex business and system processes, define enhancements, and support new products and process improvements.
- Ensure application designs follow the overall architecture blueprint and comply with applicable policies, laws, rules, and regulations.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of professional software engineering experience delivering scalable enterprise-grade production systems.
- Bachelor’s degree or university degree, or equivalent experience.
- Expert-level proficiency in Python and its AI/ML, data engineering, and backend-service ecosystem.
- Extensive hands-on experience with Generative AI, Large Language Models, transformer architectures, RAG, and agentic frameworks.
- Practical experience with containers and orchestration technologies, specifically OpenShift.
- Ability to architect, develop, and deploy performant large-scale AI/ML systems into production.
- Strong knowledge of clean-code practices, data structures, algorithms, distributed systems, and modern software development principles.
- Proficiency with relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL, and vector databases, preferably pgvector.
- Full-stack development experience is advantageous.
- Experience with model risk management, AI guardrails, and Generative AI adoption pathways is preferred.
- Open-source contributions or relevant AI/ML research publications are preferred.
