Responsibilities
- Design scalable and performant applications, systems, and infrastructure for large software projects using MongoDB.
- Advise customers on architecture patterns, optimization strategies, and the business value of MongoDB solutions.
- Own technical discovery, demonstrations, proofs of value, presentations, sizing, and documentation for sales opportunities.
- Partner with sales teams on account planning, opportunity qualification, pipeline generation, demand generation, and technical deal strategy.
- Build customer relationships, develop champions, and ensure customer success and satisfaction.
- Provide architecture guidance for distributed systems, cloud and on-premises environments, legacy modernization, and generative AI use cases.
- Mentor Solutions Consulting team members, share field feedback with product teams, and demonstrate thought leadership through articles, presentations, and public speaking.
- Participate in ongoing product and professional development and travel up to 25%.
Requirements
- At least seven years of pre-sales experience navigating complex enterprise software sales cycles, with 12+ years of related customer-facing experience ideally preferred.
- At least three years of professional experience with scripting or programming languages such as Python, Node.js, SQL, C/C++, Java, or C#.
- Experience designing scalable and highly available distributed systems in cloud and on-premises environments.
- Ability to review complex application architectures with customers and recommend improvements using technology.
- Excellent presentation, communication, interpersonal, and technical/business concept explanation skills.
- Experience presenting at industry conferences or publishing articles, papers, or blog posts demonstrating thought leadership.
- Ability to collaborate with regional sales leadership across multiple sales representatives, accounts, or industry verticals.
- Strong understanding of sales frameworks such as MEDDPICC and Command of the Message.
- Master’s degree or equivalent work experience.
- Preferred qualifications include database programming and data modeling, data engineering or AI/ML projects, legacy modernization, SRE practices, organizational enablement, MongoDB Certification, and Cloud Provider Certification.
