Principal Engineer, DevOps

- Design, deploy, and maintain Azure infrastructure using Terraform and infrastructure-as-code practices.
- Build and support Azure Kubernetes Service infrastructure, including clusters, node pools, namespaces, workloads, networking, ingress, and scaling.
- Maintain Helm charts, Kubernetes manifests, and environment-specific configurations.
- Develop and support secure CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, and related automation tools.
- Support Azure databases, caching, storage, security, configuration, and container registry services.
- Support platform components including Traefik, RabbitMQ, VerneMQ, Prometheus, and Grafana.
- Plan infrastructure changes for platform releases and application integrations, including dependency, version, lifecycle, and upgrade assessments.
- Troubleshoot infrastructure, deployment, networking, performance, and application-integration issues across environments.
- Implement monitoring, alerting, logging, and operational dashboards.
- Apply managed identities, secrets management, role-based access, network controls, vulnerability management, and least-privilege practices.
- Create technical documentation, implementation plans, impact assessments, deployment specifications, and Jira work items.
- Coordinate changes, validate deployments, resolve incidents, improve reliability, and own assigned work through closure.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and Azure Kubernetes Service.
- Strong experience designing, deploying, and maintaining cloud infrastructure with infrastructure-as-code tools and practices.
- Experience with Kubernetes, Helm, YAML, containerization, and microservices-based platforms.
- Experience developing and supporting CI/CD pipelines with Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or comparable platforms.
- Working knowledge of Azure networking, including virtual networks, subnets, routing, load balancers, private endpoints, DNS, and network security controls.
- Experience supporting production-grade cloud infrastructure and resolving complex technical issues.
- Scripting or automation experience with PowerShell, Bash, Python, or similar languages.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, independent planning ability, risk communication, follow-through, and cross-team collaboration.
