Responsibilities
- Develop HAL and peripheral device drivers for MCX, Crossover RT, and i.MX devices across standalone bare-metal, ROM, and RTOS environments.
- Deliver high-quality, documented, and tested embedded code for customer reference and use.
- Verify ROM code and other software deliverables in pre-silicon RTL and emulation environments.
- Support key customers and analyze, investigate, and resolve system-level issues with global teams.
- Develop ROM code without available silicon and debug pre-silicon environments while targeting near-total test coverage.
- Harden critical code against physical and logical attacks and meet applicable security and safety standards.
- Collaborate with SOC, marketing, systems architecture, design, verification, validation, documentation, and software teams.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of experience.
- BS/MS degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering with an embedded software focus, or equivalent experience.
- Some related work experience as an intern or co-op.
- Understanding of embedded software development, device drivers, and consumer embedded applications.
- Familiarity with ARM Assembly and programming in C, C++, Rust, or Python is preferred.
- Preferred familiarity with Flash, SPI, I2C, USB, UART, and CAN.
- Preferred experience with ARM and RISC-V architectures.
- Preferred experience with GCC, GNU make, IAR, Keil, and DS-5.
- Preferred experience with Atlassian tools such as JIRA and Bitbucket.
- Preferred experience using logic analyzers and oscilloscopes.
