Responsibilities
- Design, develop, troubleshoot, review, and debug secure, high-quality production software.
- Lead adoption of approved AI-assisted engineering practices, including code review, refactoring, test acceleration, and root-cause analysis.
- Establish standards for validating AI-generated outputs for correctness, performance, security, and responsible data handling.
- Use software development lifecycle tools and automation to improve delivery and operational outcomes.
- Identify and automate remediation of recurring application and system issues.
- Lead technical evaluation sessions with vendors, startups, and internal teams.
- Support system design, application development, testing, and operational stability across multiple technical areas.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts with advanced applied experience.
- Hands-on experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
- Advanced proficiency in one or more programming languages or technologies, including Java, React, Spring Boot, Kafka, and MongoDB.
- Experience leading approved AI-assisted software development tools and coaching engineers on safe, compliant adoption.
- Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure input/output handling, resiliency, and security expectations.
- Proficiency across the Software Development Life Cycle.
- Advanced understanding of application resiliency, security, and software delivery practices.
- In-depth knowledge of financial-services industry technology and IT systems.
- Practical cloud-native experience.
- Preferred: experience managing projects from requirements scoping through launch.
- Preferred: experience with artificial intelligence and machine learning tools and frameworks in development.
- Preferred: experience with Splunk, Dynatrace, Grafana, or similar observability and production-management tools.
