Responsibilities
- Build and maintain Tier 1 and Tier 2 services handling more than 500,000 requests per day across multiple microservices.
- Design and implement business workflows using Activiti BPMN and Temporal Cloud for cancellations, returns, exchanges, and refunds.
- Integrate with more than 15 upstream and downstream systems, including Order, Shipment, Payments, and Transport systems.
- Implement policy-driven business logic that adapts to changing cancellation, return, and refund rules.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of backend software engineering experience.
- Strong proficiency building distributed systems and microservices architectures.
- Experience with high-throughput, low-latency systems handling millions of requests.
- Experience with event-driven architectures using Kafka or similar messaging systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to debug complex distributed systems.
- Excellent collaboration skills with Product, Customer Support, Logistics, and Payment teams.
- Backend development experience with Java, Kotlin, or similar JVM languages is preferred.
- Experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs is preferred.
- Experience with MySQL or Aurora database design and optimization is preferred.
- Experience with Kafka message queue systems is preferred.
- Experience with Activiti BPMN or Temporal workflow engines is preferred.
- Experience with Grafana or CloudWatch for monitoring and alerting is preferred.
- Experience with Git and CircleCI or similar CI/CD tools is preferred.
