Responsibilities
- Convert algorithm implementations from Matlab or other languages into production-grade Python or C++.
- Develop and optimize signal and image processing algorithms for display, touch, audio, and sensor applications.
- Decompose algorithms into modular blocks, graphs, and sub-graphs for parallel execution and reduced runtime.
- Create design documents and present proposed algorithm decompositions before implementation.
- Produce correlation reports and root-cause discrepancies with algorithm developers.
- Use AI tools and LLMs for code comprehension, translation, refactoring, and correlation analysis.
- Build AI-assisted tooling to automate and accelerate algorithm conversion and development.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional software development experience.
- BS in Computer Science required; an MS in Computer Science is preferred.
- Strong command of C/C++ and an object-oriented programming language.
- Experience with C++14/C++17, templates, and parallel programming.
- Proficiency in Python for algorithm implementation, tooling, prototyping, and correlation analysis.
- Working knowledge of Matlab.
- Knowledge of signal or image processing, algorithm design, and DSP.
- Proficiency using AI tools and LLMs, such as AI coding assistants.
- Preferred experience with developer tooling, code-translation utilities, automation pipelines, and AI/LLM-powered tools.
- Preferred experience shipping production-grade code, profiling and optimizing compute-intensive code, and decomposing workloads into parallel execution graphs.
- Experience with display, touch, audio, or sensor-processing domains is preferred.
- Experience with Xcode, macOS, telemetry, key metrics, and data-driven decision-making is preferred.
