Responsibilities
- Design, pilot, and implement logging and alerting systems across endpoints, infrastructure, networks, and cloud environments.
- Build tools and automation strategies for threat hunting and intrusion response.
- Investigate alert-generated events and triage potential incidents.
- Design and ship scalable services while auditing AI-generated output for correctness, performance, architecture, and security risks.
- Collaborate with Snap teams during incidents and drive response efforts.
- Analyze adversary tactics, techniques, and procedures and develop threat intelligence on APT and cybercrime actors.
Requirements
- Experience in one or more of digital forensics, malware analysis, incident management, host or network intrusion detection, and threat intelligence.
- Strong development skills in Python and/or Go.
- Advanced knowledge of operating-system internals and competency in at least two of macOS, Windows, Linux, Kubernetes, Amazon Web Services, and Google Cloud Platform.
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent years of experience in a related technical field, with 6+ years of post-Bachelor’s security experience; alternatively, a technical master’s degree with 5+ years of post-graduate security experience or a relevant PhD with 2+ years of post-graduate security experience.
- Knowledge of threat hunting and automated threat detection and incident response logic is preferred.
- Familiarity with cloud-based services and infrastructure, practical BeyondCorp experience, strong communication skills, and experience collaborating with stakeholders are preferred.
