Responsibilities
- Lead engineering strategy related to automating build, test, release, and configuration activities across application, platform, and infrastructure environments.
- Design, develop, document, code, and support complex applications and systems in alignment with business, architecture, performance, and development standards.
- Create solution options, coordinate stakeholders, and act as an application subject matter expert throughout the design and development lifecycle.
- Analyze requirements, current environments, application and data issues, infrastructure impacts, and potential buy/build/reuse solutions.
- Conduct code reviews, operational readiness reviews, quality assessments, remediation activities, and solution design sign-offs.
- Define application metrics and performance goals with technology partners and implement continuous improvement and automation opportunities.
- Manage technology risks, governance issues, regulatory alignment, operational performance, and stakeholder relationships.
- Mentor and guide team members, share engineering best practices, support knowledge transfer, and contribute to the advancement of TD’s engineering practice.
Requirements
- Undergraduate degree, postgraduate degree, or technical certificate; a computer science or engineering background is preferred.
- 5–7 years of relevant experience.
- Strong academic background; a graduate degree is nice to have.
- Expert knowledge of business processes, the broader organization, technical environments, engineering frameworks, tools, procedures, and relevant technology areas.
- Ability to work independently or autonomously as a senior or lead contributor across diverse solution and operational-support tasks.
- Strong collaboration, research, analytical, problem-solving, communication, risk-management, and mentoring skills.

- Base salary range of $125,500–$154,000 CAD, subject to a temporary market premium and annual reassessment.
