Responsibilities
- Execute engineering strategy for tools and automation supporting build, test, release, and configuration activities.
- Design, develop, document, and support complex applications and systems throughout the development lifecycle.
- Lead solution-option development and coordinate stakeholders for comprehensive end-to-end solutions.
- Create functional, technical, and user-interface designs that meet business, architecture, performance, and development requirements.
- Review technical deliverables and conduct code reviews to ensure quality, standards compliance, reusability, and maintainability.
- Analyze business, environment, application, and data requirements and recommend optimal solutions.
- Partner with architects and technology teams on infrastructure changes, data conversion impacts, performance requirements, and solution integrity.
- Identify and implement improvements that enhance customer experience and availability or reduce costs.
- Define application metrics and performance goals with technology partners.
- Address application, data, cross-capability, and cross-release issues.
- Support operational readiness reviews, gating, review sign-offs, remediation plans, and risk or governance actions.
- Monitor service and productivity levels and implement continuous process and performance improvements.
- Mentor and enable team members, share engineering best practices, and support knowledge transfer.
- Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders and maintain alignment with enterprise and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- Undergraduate degree, postgraduate degree, or technical certificate; a graduate degree is preferred.
- 5–7 years of relevant experience.
- Strong academic background, such as computer science or engineering.
- Expert knowledge of the business, broader organization, technical environment, processes, procedures, tools, and relevant technology areas.
- Expert knowledge of applicable engineering frameworks, technologies, tools, processes, procedures, and organizational issues.
- Ability to work independently or autonomously as a senior or lead across diverse solution-support tasks.
- Strong collaboration, research, analytical, problem-solving, communication, and mentoring skills.

- Base salary of $125,500–$154,000 CAD annually, with the posted range reflecting a temporary market premium reassessed annually.
