Base Salary

$160k - $193k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Own the full lifecycle of secondary ECU software releases from source code through vehicle deployment
  • Coordinate multi-ECU release synchronization across body, energy, drive support, infotainment, connectivity, and gateway domains
  • Define ECU release baselines, versioning strategies, and software configuration management across SDV platforms
  • Align ECU software versions with calibration sets, vehicle configurations, hardware variants, and system-level dependencies
  • Own ECU build pipelines and deterministic, reproducible binary-generation workflows
  • Manage firmware binaries, bootloaders, application images, calibration datasets, parameter files, variant configuration artifacts, and diagnostic and service packages
  • Manage artifact storage, versioning, access control, retention, integrity, signing, encryption, provenance, and lineage
  • Maintain traceability from source code through build, binary, calibration set, flash package, and vehicle deployment
  • Validate calibration compatibility with software versions, ECU hardware variants, and vehicle configurations
  • Build automated release gates and system-level regression validation for Drive, Energy, Body, IID, and ADAS systems
  • Validate compatibility among vehicle software, manufacturing tooling, diagnostics, and plant infrastructure
  • Drive root-cause analysis of cross-domain issues and support integration war-room activities during DV/PV builds

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field with 12+ years of experience
  • Strong understanding of vehicle E/E architecture, ECU-level software stacks, automotive communication protocols, and UDS diagnostics under ISO 14229
  • Expert knowledge of Jira, GitHub or GitLab, Jenkins, and Artifactory
  • Proficiency with Siemens Polarion, IBM DOORS Next Gen, or PTC Windchill
  • Experience with MATLAB/Simulink plant and control models for hardware-in-the-loop testing, dSpace ControlDesk, and AutomationDesk
  • Familiarity with embedded systems software, electrical/electronic systems, and vehicle architecture
  • Familiarity with A2B, CAN, Automotive Ethernet, LIN, LVDS, CANalyzer, CANoe, and vehicle network tools
  • Expertise in complex problem solving, data analysis, and driving results with extended teams
  • Knowledge of automotive design and development processes, system requirements, and engineering best practices
  • Ability to provide technical arbitration, structured problem solving, and program milestone ownership in high-pressure launch environments
