Base Salary
$176k - $260k/yr
Responsibilities
- Decompose complex technical problems and design loosely coupled, highly cohesive solutions.
- Implement secure, scalable, high-quality production code for distributed technology products.
- Maintain and enhance an access control system supporting critical business operations.
- Contribute to system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
- Collaborate across multiple teams and contribute to a respectful, actively engaged engineering culture.
- Learn and evaluate emerging technologies while questioning existing approaches and solving problems creatively.
Requirements
- Strong software engineering fundamentals and programming skills.
- Demonstrated experience developing in Java and working with distributed computing.
- Hands-on experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
- Advanced understanding of agile development practices, CI/CD, application resiliency, and security.
- Experience with prompt engineering.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Preferred: knowledge of refactoring techniques, domain-driven design, object-oriented design patterns, and safely evolving legacy codebases.
- Preferred: experience designing distributed services and event-driven architectures.
- Preferred: experience with Go or Rust.
- Preferred: experience with behavior-driven development test tools such as Cucumber.
- Preferred: exposure to RDF technologies such as SPARQL or JSON-LD.
