Responsibilities
- Develop complex Java code and complete logic and algorithm design based on functional specifications.
- Translate software requirements into design specifications and make technical decisions aligned with business value.
- Perform complex peer code reviews and provide technical guidance on the broader impact of software changes.
- Create and apply automated and unit tests and contribute to delivery pipelines covering test automation, security, and performance.
- Lead team standards and processes across planning, estimation, solution demonstrations, reviews, and implementation design discussions.
- Research production escalations, mentor and coach team members, and implement development standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- 10+ years of experience building production-grade applications with Java, Spring Boot, and microservices architecture.
- Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, software design principles, and software design patterns.
- Experience with continuous software delivery, build environments, CI/CD pipelines, test automation, and continuous integration tools.
- Experience in Windows and Linux development environments using open-source tools and platforms.
- Familiarity with software application testing methodologies and process frameworks.
- Ability to mentor team members, influence technical decisions, communicate effectively, collaborate, and work independently with minimal oversight.
- Preferred experience deploying and operating cloud-based applications on AWS or Azure.
- Preferred familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Preferred experience working in Agile/Scrum environments and participating in sprint planning, estimation, solution demonstrations, and retrospectives.
