Responsibilities
- Lead and scale a team of 6–8 Forward Deployed Engineers across strategic enterprise accounts.
- Own technical discovery, architecture reviews, engagement scoping, proposals, and executive close support for major customer opportunities.
- Serve as executive technical sponsor and primary customer contact, managing delivery quality, milestones, stakeholder relationships, and complex escalations.
- Coach FDEs on scoping, technical delivery, customer engagement, and production implementation decisions.
- Identify product gaps and recurring integration issues and communicate them to Product and Engineering to influence roadmap decisions.
- Build reusable FDE playbooks and establish technical performance standards and career paths.
- Hire and develop FDE talent and build a partner FDE track by training and enabling GSI and consulting partners.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience leading technical teams that build and ship in production, including Forward Deployed Engineering, Solutions Engineering, or a similar coding-oriented function.
- Experience with software development and coding in Python and JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Experience building and owning AI-native workflows in production and debugging real-world model failures.
- Ability to quickly diagnose complex enterprise engineering environments, identify high-leverage interventions, and scope meaningful engagements.
- Experience building and scaling IC-level technical teams and setting a high bar for production delivery.
