Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain build and automated code deployment systems.
- Build application code, artifacts, and Docker images and deploy them to Azure DevOps, Red Hat OpenShift, and Linux environments.
- Develop moderately complex scripts and configure middleware platforms to support application requirements.
- Provide on-call support for application failures and participate in production implementation coordination.
- Maintain automated continuous integration and continuous delivery systems and Git/GitHub version-control strategies.
- Define deployment strategies for UAT, PTE, and production environments and document build, deployment, and configuration processes.
- Drive deployment automation from code check-in through production and improve monitoring and infrastructure automation.
- Collaborate with application development, QA, operations, infrastructure, project management, and business teams using Agile and DevOps principles.
Requirements
- More than 6 years of IT industry experience, preferably with Go, Java, Python, or Node.js development and middleware administration in highly available environments.
- Strong understanding of JVM configuration and tuning parameters.
- Strong understanding of DevOps concepts, principles, tools, and CI/CD toolsets, preferably GitHub Actions and Jenkins pipelines.
- Experience with Linux and development of Linux shell scripts using ksh or bash.
- Experience with application build tools including Golang, Ant, Maven, and Gradle.
- Experience with networks, load balancers, firewalls, Autosys/FH, Git, and GitHub.
- Ability to collaborate across technology and business teams, advocate for change, and improve delivery processes.
