Responsibilities
- Design the AKS cluster model for the Canadian segment and improve existing infrastructure without disrupting business operations.
- Build an integrated developer platform by combining shared AKS clusters with CI/CD, monitoring, logging, risk, and security capabilities.
- Automate cluster maintenance, operational workflows, and routine processes using Infrastructure-as-Code and AI-assisted tooling.
- Monitor and maintain the health, performance, scalability, reliability, and security of AKS clusters.
- Ensure compliance with enterprise risk, security, governance, and operational standards.
- Partner with application development and capability-owner teams to align standards, roadmaps, integrations, and service delivery.
Requirements
- Experience in cloud computing, with Azure strongly preferred.
- Expertise in automation and Infrastructure-as-Code using tools such as Terraform, Bicep, or ARM.
- Experience using AI-assisted engineering tools such as GitHub Copilot or Azure OpenAI to improve automation, troubleshooting, and engineering workflows.
- Experience operating or supporting shared platform services, including shared Kubernetes clusters, CI/CD systems, observability platforms, or security and risk tooling.
- Strong understanding of networking and security concepts, cloud networking infrastructure, and distributed system patterns.
- Experience with Identity and Access Management, including Azure AD, RBAC, or workload identity.
- Hands-on experience with API gateways and cloud-based architectures.
- Strong system administration background and scripting or programming proficiency with PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
- Experience with containers and Kubernetes; AKS experience is an asset.
