Responsibilities
- Diagnose and resolve complex cloud application, architecture, and infrastructure issues.
- Conduct root cause analyses, implement preventive measures, and produce documentation and reports for recurring issues.
- Develop scripts and automation to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
- Build and maintain a scalable, robust, secure SaaS framework on AWS and OCP infrastructure.
- Configure, provision, upgrade, monitor, troubleshoot, and fix network functions across customer and production deployments.
- Collaborate with development, QA, operations, internal stakeholders, external stakeholders, and client teams.
- Ensure security and compliance and implement data protection best practices.
- Maintain troubleshooting procedures, system configurations, resolutions, and other technical documentation.
- Communicate with customers about issue progress and preventive measures.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members and promote knowledge sharing.
- Lead and participate in Scrum ceremonies and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in DevOps, including Jenkins, AWS services, Kafka, Grafana, Elasticsearch, Bitbucket, Git, deployments, documentation, root cause analysis, and customer interactions.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent; a master’s degree in computer science is preferred.
- Extensive experience developing distributed systems and preferably microservice architectures at large scale in public cloud environments.
- Strong knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, public cloud technologies, on-premises infrastructure, IAM, and virtualization technologies such as ESXi, KVM, and Hyper-V.
- Experience with cloud-native SaaS development and CI/CD tooling such as Jenkins.
- Experience with version control systems such as Git and Bitbucket.
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform.
- Knowledge of observability tools including Kibana, Elastic Stack, and Prometheus Stack.
- Knowledge of Linux, Shell scripting, Python, REST APIs, and API gateways.
- Ability to analyze backend and frontend code and perform testing related to customer issues.
- Effective written, spoken, listening, and presentation communication skills.
- Experience working effectively with global teams and organizations.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and Scrum ceremonies.
