Base Salary
$143k - $304k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop and operate next-generation Microsoft Information Protection software for securing sensitive data across Microsoft 365, endpoints, applications, and cloud environments.
- Lead AI-assisted software development and high-quality coding practices through code reviews, testing, and maintainable engineering standards.
- Own complex system architecture and design decisions, balancing performance, scalability, cost, and other trade-offs.
- Use telemetry, debugging, and root-cause analysis to improve system health, prevent issues, and drive incident resolution as the directly responsible individual.
- Ensure security, privacy, and compliance adherence while driving automation, CI/CD, and safe deployments.
- Partner cross-functionally, incorporate customer insights, and continuously improve systems, processes, and engineering outcomes.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related technical field and 6 or more years of technical engineering experience involving coding, or equivalent experience.
- Coding experience in one or more of C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements, including the Microsoft Cloud Background Check.
- Preferred: master's degree in computer science or a related technical field and 8 or more years of technical engineering experience, or bachelor's degree and 12 or more years of experience, or equivalent experience.
- Preferred: experience with large-scale data processing in distributed systems.
- Preferred: experience with data analysis and statistical modeling, including regression, classification, clustering, predictive modeling, and machine learning algorithms.
