Base Salary
$180k - $220k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own the design system end-to-end, including design tokens, a shadcn/ui component library, and Tailwind CSS conventions.
- Define and enforce frontend patterns using React Query, React Hook Form, and Zod.
- Design and implement conversational agent interfaces for Slack Block Kit and Microsoft Teams Adaptive Cards.
- Implement WCAG accessibility standards and guardrails in brand guidelines and the codebase.
- Maintain frontend tooling and quality through Biome, Playwright E2E coverage, and performance optimization.
- Translate design intent into reusable component abstractions, motion, and tactile micro-interactions.
- Partner with founders and engineers to maintain a polished frontend layer over the API.
- Integrate AI coding tools and custom lint and agent rules into the frontend workflow.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience building product interfaces.
- A portfolio of shipped features demonstrating high polish.
- Primary ownership of a production design system or component library, supported by a public repository, portfolio, or detailed walkthrough.
- Deep expertise in React, strict TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, shadcn/ui, and Radix UI.
- Experience translating visual decisions into design tokens, component abstractions, and lint rules.
- Experience enforcing WCAG accessibility standards in a living codebase.
- Hands-on production experience with AI coding tools such as Claude Code or Cursor.
- Experience with non-standard AI interfaces, conversational interfaces, or chatbots is preferred.
- Familiarity with Slack Block Kit, Microsoft Teams Adaptive Cards, CLI design patterns, Framer Motion, or Radix transition tooling is preferred.
