Responsibilities
- Build and maintain resilient microservices and APIs on AWS.
- Develop and enhance cloud-based services and frontends for user management and product access.
- Implement functionality across distributed components and services in a CI/CD cloud environment.
- Write stable, reliable, secure, and well-tested code.
- Support production operations through on-call coverage, deployments, and troubleshooting.
- Monitor metrics and improve telemetry gathering, reporting, and alerting.
- Collaborate with geographically distributed teams and share technical knowledge and best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years of professional experience developing distributed cloud applications.
- Extensive experience with AWS cloud services, serverless programming, events, and cloud architectures.
- Experience with continuous integration and delivery and tools including Jenkins, Harness, Terraform, Docker, and EC2.
- Proficiency designing and building REST and GraphQL APIs.
- Expertise with JavaScript-based programming languages, including Node.js and React.
- Hands-on experience writing unit, integration, and system tests.
- Experience with relational and NoSQL databases, including MySQL and DynamoDB.
- Familiarity with Redis caching technologies.
- Experience with event-driven architecture.
- Experience building observability into services and infrastructure using CloudWatch, Splunk, and Dynatrace.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for collaboration in an agile/scrum-team-oriented environment.
- Interest in working with geographically diverse teams.
Benefits
- Canada-based starting base salary is $107,000 to $157,300, with offers based on experience and geographic location.
- The compensation package may include annual cash bonuses, stock grants, and comprehensive benefits.
- The role may require in-person onboarding and/or in-person identity verification.
