Responsibilities
- Design scalable, performant applications, systems, and infrastructure leveraging MongoDB.
- Advise customers on architecture patterns, optimization strategies, and the business value of MongoDB.
- Own technical discovery, demonstrations, proofs of value, presentations, sizing, and documentation for complex opportunities.
- Partner with sales teams on account planning, opportunity prioritization, qualification, and pipeline generation.
- Generate demand through technical initiatives, industry events, and account-based marketing events.
- Build customer relationships, develop champions, and support customer success and satisfaction.
- Relay field feedback to the product team and mentor other Solutions Consulting team members.
- Complete ongoing training on MongoDB products and industry trends.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of professional experience with scripting or programming languages such as Python, Node.js, SQL, C/C++, Java, or C#.
- Ideally 8 to 11 years of related customer-facing experience, including 5 to 7 years in enterprise software pre-sales.
- Experience designing scalable, highly available distributed systems in cloud and on-premises environments.
- Ability to review complex application architectures and recommend technology improvements.
- Strong presentation, communication, interpersonal, and technical value-articulation skills.
- Ability to strategize with sales teams and coordinate technical and ecosystem resources around account plans.
- Ability to travel up to 25%.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
- Preferred experience includes database sales, application deployment with major cloud providers, database programming, data models, data engineering, AI/ML projects, legacy modernization, MongoDB or cloud certifications, and sales frameworks such as MEDDPICC or Command of the Message.
