Base Salary
$180k - $245k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop the core execution model including state machine and lifecycle management.
- Design platform APIs and SDKs to connect workflows, agents, and tools.
- Guarantee correctness through idempotency and deterministic replays.
- Engineer reliability at scale with concurrency controls and workload isolation.
- Integrate security and governance into the platform architecture.
- Deliver observability through distributed tracing and structured logs.
- Own quality through design reviews and performance baselines.
- Mentor senior engineers and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Define system boundaries to reduce cross-service coupling.
- Drive platform-wide standards for correctness and API design.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in building distributed/platform systems.
- Experience with mission-critical runtimes or workflow systems.
- Deep expertise in durable execution and failure semantics.
- Proven track record with security and governance in production systems.
- Hands-on experience with observability tools like Grafana.
- Strong systems design skills across storage and evented architectures.
- Proficiency in modern programming languages such as Go or Java.
- Comfortable in regulated environments with a focus on correctness.
- Ability to influence technical direction and architectural standards.
- Experience incorporating advanced LLM capabilities into system design.
