Responsibilities
- Research, prototype, and develop solutions that improve the Qualys technology platform.
- Develop cloud-native solutions across AWS, Azure, GCP, and OCI.
- Design and implement distributed, scalable, high-performance microservice applications.
- Produce high-quality software using scalable architecture and design principles.
- Write unit and integration tests, document code and designs, and provide technical solutions.
Requirements
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Excellent programming and design skills in Java with at least four years of professional application development experience using Spring Boot and microservices.
- Understanding of relational databases and NoSQL databases, preferably Cassandra and Elasticsearch.
- Professional experience with indexing technologies such as Elasticsearch and caching technologies such as Redis or Memcached.
- Understanding of data structures, algorithms, and application design.
- Professional experience developing software using microservices-oriented architecture.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science.
- Preferred: hands-on knowledge of AWS, Azure, GCP, or OCI; experience with Jenkins and Kubernetes; and experience with Apache Flink.
