Base Salary
$140k - $220k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build robust, performant, user-facing web applications in Python, Django, and Angular.
- Develop and ship functionality for user interaction and scientific data visualization.
- Deliver responsive, accessible, and mobile-friendly code.
- Contribute to automated testing, building, and deployment.
- Work as part of an agile product team to deliver a high-quality user experience.
- Support continued development of the Sequence Read Archive for millions of daily users and tens of petabytes of stored data.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in computer science or a scientific field such as engineering or physics, or equivalent experience.
- At least 5 years of full-stack web application development experience using Python, Django, and Angular.
- Understanding of JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
- Experience with relational database modeling and data migration.
- Knowledge of accessibility and security compliance.
- Experience with version control systems such as Git or SVN.
- Experience with web services and RESTful APIs is a bonus.
- Experience with semantic markup and modern web layout techniques is a bonus.
- Experience with C++, SQL Server, and relational databases is a bonus.
- Expertise developing bioinformatics applications handling DNA sequence data is a bonus.
