Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain secure enterprise web applications.
- Develop APIs, microservices, web services, and integrations with internal and external systems.
- Modernize legacy applications and support migration to cloud-native or hybrid architectures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to define technical solutions, estimate effort, and deliver releases.
- Implement automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, DevSecOps practices, and secure coding standards.
- Ensure applications meet federal security, accessibility, performance, and compliance requirements, including Section 508 standards.
- Troubleshoot software defects, integration issues, system errors, and performance bottlenecks.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, system designs, implementation plans, release notes, and operational procedures.
- Participate in sprint planning, code reviews, demonstrations, and other Agile activities.
- For senior-level assignments, provide technical leadership, mentor junior developers, and contribute to architecture and design decisions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
- At least 5 years of experience as a Full Stack Developer, Software Engineer, or similar technical professional.
- Experience developing web applications with front-end and back-end technologies.
- Hands-on experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs and web services using JSON, XML, or related technologies.
- Experience working in Agile software development environments.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, version control, automated testing, and modern deployment practices.
- Knowledge of secure coding, data protection, application security, and production support practices.
- Ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders in a federal contracting environment.
- Ability to obtain and maintain an MBI Public Trust clearance.
- Preferred experience includes federal government, healthcare, civilian, national security, or public-sector IT programs.
- Preferred qualifications include experience with AWS, Azure, containerization, microservices, DevSecOps, cloud-native application design, databases, SQL, data integration, reporting systems, analytics platforms, federal compliance frameworks, accessibility requirements, security controls, and legacy-system modernization.
