Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and integrate frontend, backend, API, database, testing, and application components.
- Build scalable and maintainable full-stack web applications using modern frameworks and architectures.
- Develop REST APIs, business logic, data-access layers, validation, logging, and error handling.
- Design and integrate relational databases, data models, queries, and application data services.
- Implement automated testing, source control, code reviews, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Troubleshoot and optimize application performance, APIs, database operations, integrations, and system reliability.
- Apply secure software development practices, including authentication, authorization, input validation, and secure API design.
- Create technical documentation covering architecture, APIs, databases, deployment, testing, and operational procedures.
- Collaborate with software engineers, data engineers, data scientists, AI/ML specialists, and UX/UI teams.
- Apply security, privacy, accessibility, data governance, and records-management requirements throughout development.
Requirements
- Experience developing full-stack applications with modern frontend, backend, API, and database technologies.
- Hands-on experience building REST APIs, business logic, data-access components, validation, logging, and error handling.
- Experience with source control, automated testing, code reviews, and CI/CD in an Agile development environment.
- Strong knowledge of secure web development, accessibility, relational databases, API design, and modern web architectures.
- Experience developing and integrating frontend and backend applications and optimizing application performance and reliability.
- Strong technical communication, documentation, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain Top Secret eligibility are required.
- Active Top Secret clearance is highly preferred.
- Preferred qualifications include Federal financial, grants, budget, payment, award oversight, or financial reporting systems experience; secure Federal, on-premises, cloud, or hybrid delivery experience; Linux; PostgreSQL and/or Microsoft SQL Server; Java and/or .NET; Jenkins; self-hosted Azure DevOps; Kubernetes and/or Rancher; and AI/ML, LLM, open-source AI model, or AI-enabled application architecture experience.
