Base Salary

$122k - $218k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and defend cloud-based information systems against unauthorized access, modification, destruction, and anomalous activity.
  • Lead security incident response across preparation, detection, analysis, containment, eradication, and recovery.
  • Design, implement, test, and continuously improve cloud, SaaS, and AI/ML security architectures and controls.
  • Identify and remediate network, application, cloud, and AI/ML platform vulnerabilities and access-control gaps.
  • Manage cloud security solutions involving access management, data protection, security services, monitoring, and incident support.
  • Lead security controls reporting, compliance audits, risk assessments, remediation tracking, and security metrics.
  • Partner with developers, database administrators, data scientists, ML engineers, project teams, and business stakeholders on secure solutions.
  • Develop and maintain cloud security standards, policies, procedures, and incident recovery approaches.
  • Provide cloud and AI/ML security subject matter expertise, training, technical guidance, and mentoring.
  • Monitor AI/ML platforms for unusual model access, data usage, inference activity, and other anomalous behavior.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Cybersecurity, Networking, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
  • At least 8 years of experience in security engineering involving secure network, system, and application architectures, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • At least 3–5 years of experience with AWS Cloud Security services.
  • AWS Certified Security certification is required.
  • Experience with data analysis, risk assessment and mitigation, investigation methods, incident management, and security policy and procedure development.
  • Experience with IDS/IPS, firewalls, SIEM, antivirus, network packet analyzers, content filtering, malware analysis, and forensics tools.
  • Demonstrated experience as a lead engineer designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise IT environments.
  • Knowledge of enterprise security platforms, disaster recovery, computer forensics, endpoint security, file integrity monitoring, and data loss prevention.
  • Preferred certifications include GSEC, CISSP, AWS Developer or Solutions Architect Associate with a security emphasis, and AI/ML or data-related certifications.
  • Exposure to AI/ML platforms, data pipelines, analytics environments, model deployment, AI/ML security concepts, data privacy, and AI governance is preferred.
  • Ability to communicate technical security issues to technical and non-technical audiences and collaborate across teams.
