Base Salary
$120k - $261k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and build major components of the agentic sales platform, including orchestration, tools and skills, grounding, evaluations, observability, and model routing.
- Own software components end to end from prototype to production, including architectural and implementation decisions.
- Partner with AI Foundry, Microsoft Research, Substrate, and Copilot teams on shared agent SDKs, evaluation harnesses, content safety, and telemetry.
- Contribute to evaluation and Responsible AI standards for production agents in the Sales surface.
- Participate in code reviews, design reviews, mentoring, and sharing agent-engineering practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field and 4+ years of technical engineering experience with coding in languages including C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python, or equivalent experience.
- Preferred qualifications include a BS and 5+ years of software engineering experience, an MS and 3+ years, or a PhD and 1+ year.
- Experience with C#, TypeScript, or Python, with comfort across all three preferred.
- Demonstrated ownership and delivery of significant features or architectural components end to end.
- At least 1 year of production experience shipping LLM-based or agent-based systems, including evaluations, observability, and debugging.
- Production experience with agent stacks such as Microsoft 365 Agents SDK, AutoGen, Magentic-One, LangGraph, OpenAI Agents SDK, Anthropic SDK with MCP, or Semantic Kernel.
- Experience with AI-native development, agent harnesses, Markdown specifications, ADRs, YAML configurations, multi-step agentic workflows, and reviewing agent-generated code and pull requests.
- Experience standing up evaluations or observability for nondeterministic systems.
- Experience contributing to the safety posture of multi-tenant systems, including prompt-injection defenses and audit trails.
- Public artifacts demonstrating work with agents, such as shipped side projects, open-source contributions, technical writing, or talks.
