Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable, reusable Python applications and high-performance backend systems.
- Build RESTful APIs, GraphQL services, asynchronous services, distributed applications, and Python microservices.
- Translate business requirements into technical solutions and clean architecture designs.
- Implement authentication and authorization using OAuth2, JWT, SSO, and RBAC.
- Design containerized applications for cloud and Kubernetes-based environments.
- Build event-driven systems using message brokers and tools such as RabbitMQ, Kafka, AWS SQS/SNS, and Celery.
- Design, optimize, and maintain relational and non-relational database solutions, SQL queries, stored procedures, and data access layers.
- Develop and deploy applications on AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform using Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, and CI/CD tooling.
- Write unit, integration, and end-to-end tests; participate in code reviews and maintain quality standards.
- Implement logging, monitoring, tracing, alerting, observability, auditability, and reliability practices.
- Analyze and optimize application performance, remediate vulnerabilities, and implement secure coding practices.
- Lead technical design sessions, code walkthroughs, architecture discussions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Mentor junior and mid-level developers and collaborate with product, architecture, QA, DevOps, and business stakeholders.
- Provide technical estimates, identify risks, and support sprint planning and delivery.
Requirements
- Strong experience designing and developing Python-based backend applications and services.
- Experience with Django, Flask, and FastAPI; familiarity with Tornado, Falcon, or Pyramid is optional.
- Experience building REST APIs and, where required, GraphQL services.
- Knowledge of OAuth2, JWT, SSO, RBAC, microservices, distributed systems, resilience patterns, retries, and fault tolerance.
- Experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, MongoDB, Redis, Elasticsearch, SQL optimization, indexing, and performance tuning.
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform and with Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm.
- Experience with RabbitMQ, Kafka, AWS SQS/SNS, or Celery and event-driven architectures.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps tooling, release automation, deployment, monitoring, and observability.
- Experience with PyTest, UnitTest, Mock, Selenium, or Playwright and strong testing practices.
- Knowledge of ELK Stack, Grafana, Prometheus, Datadog, or Splunk.
- Strong understanding of secure coding, performance, maintainability, auditability, and software quality practices.
- Experience mentoring developers and leading technical reviews and architecture discussions.
- AI/ML integration experience with Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, or model-serving APIs is valued.
- Exposure to Airflow, serverless architectures, JavaScript, React, Angular, HTML/CSS, domain-driven design, and regulated enterprise industries is valued.
