Responsibilities
- Deliver software engineering work including design, development, remediation, enhancements, and technical improvements.
- Participate in daily huddles, sprint ceremonies, technical calls, and other pod operating activities.
- Triage issues, perform root-cause analysis, implement corrective changes, and support validation through testing and controlled releases.
- Collaborate with credit pods and stakeholders to manage dependencies, sequencing, and handoffs.
- Maintain code reviews, documentation, operational readiness, and transparent work tracking.
- Coach and mentor junior engineers.
Requirements
- 4+ years of relevant experience with banking or financial-services domain knowledge.
- Strong proficiency in Java and the Spring ecosystem, including Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and JSP.
- Experience with RESTful APIs, PL/SQL, React or Angular, and databases including MS SQL Server, Oracle, and DB2.
- Experience with middleware such as JBoss EAP or Spring Boot.
- Familiarity with application Day1 delivery, decommissioning processes, DNS, certificates, firewall rules, and monitoring.
- Ability to work independently with minimal guidance and strong written, verbal, organizational, and time-management skills.
- Applied AI tooling experience such as GitHub Copilot.
- Preferred qualifications include TAO or TAO delegate experience, credit security and funding-process knowledge, .NET, Python, Microsoft Azure, and DevOps practices or CI/CD pipeline experience.

- Base salary range of $81,600-$115,200 CAD.
