Responsibilities
- Design and implement highly available, scalable distributed services supporting millions of transactions.
- Own critical systems end to end from architecture through delivery.
- Define technical strategy, provide architectural guidance, and mentor engineers.
- Partner with product, business, and partner teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Improve engineering excellence through code reviews and operational best practices.
- Identify customer problems and independently deliver solutions.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional software development experience.
- 3+ years of experience designing and building distributed systems.
- Proficiency in at least one modern programming language such as Java, Python, or TypeScript.
- BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
- At least 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience and 2 years of non-internship design or architecture experience.
- Preferred: experience with AWS services including EC2, Lambda, DynamoDB, and SQS.
- Preferred: experience delivering large-scale customer-facing systems or working with commerce, marketplace, or SaaS platforms.
- Preferred: 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Preferred: bachelor's degree in Computer Science and strong communication and influencing skills.
