Responsibilities

  • Build and deliver features powering AI agents embedded in HR and Financial workflows.
  • Own services and user experiences from development through production, including operating what you build.
  • Design and build scalable, reliable full-stack solutions and distributed systems in cloud environments.
  • Collaborate with machine learning engineers, product managers, platform teams, and cross-functional partners.
  • Share knowledge, mentor teammates, and help raise the technical bar across the engineering pod.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of software engineering experience.
  • 3+ years of experience designing, building, and operating highly scalable distributed systems in production.
  • 3+ years of experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS or GCP.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, physics, math, or equivalent; a master’s or PhD is preferred.
  • Experience building and operating SaaS products in cloud environments, with AWS preferred.
  • Familiarity with modern distributed-system architecture and tradeoffs.
  • Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Familiarity with Elasticsearch.
  • Knowledge of software development best practices, automated testing, observability, and related engineering practices.
  • Experience working in fast-paced, agile, multifunctional teams, with strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Benefits

  • Annual base salary range of $112,000-$168,000 CAD for the primary and additional Canadian locations.
  • Potential eligibility for the Workday Bonus Plan or role-specific commission/bonus and annual refresh stock grants.
  • Flexible work arrangement requiring at least 50% of each quarter in the office or in the field with customers, prospects, and partners.
